尊敬的师父好！
各位同修大家好！
Revered Master!
Fellow Practitioners!
师父在《二零一五年纽约法会讲法》中告诉我们：“修炼是根本，救人是我们的责任，这两者都得做好。”惭愧的是这两样我都做的很不够，但是今年法会交流稿我觉得自己应该写。除了明白这是师父给我们留下的修炼形式外，我悟到：越是觉得自己没有做好，就更应督促自己写一年一度的修炼心得。因为一方面，写心得体会的过程是一个自我反省的过程，能促使自己在修炼上的提高。另一方面，即使我今年在面对众生讲真相上只有一两点突破，或者自己在修炼上只多明白了一两个问题，如果能将自己的心得和同修们分享，并因此使大家从中也能得到启发，这不是对自己做的不够的最好弥补吗？因为大法弟子所有做的一切只为助师救众生，为在这件事上尽可能起到更多的正面作用。那么我们相互之间的良性切磋，互相帮助，不就是在增强这股救人的力量，扩大我们救人的智慧吗？
Master mentioned in His Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference, “Cultivation is the cornerstone of what we do, and saving people is our responsibility. Both of these things need to be done well”. Although, regretfully I haven’t done well in these two areas, I felt that I should still write an experience-sharing article for this year’s Fahui. Apart from its being a cultivation form left by Master, I came to realize that the more I felt I hadn’t done well, the more I should write this once-a-year sharing. On one hand, since it’s a process of self-reflection, it would help me improve my cultivation. On the other hand, even if I had achieved very few break-throughs, if I could pass them on to fellow practitioners and enable them to gain new insight, couldn’t this be a great compensation to make up for what I hadn’t done well? Because everything us Dafa disciples do is to ultimately help Master in saving sentient beings, to put as much positive energy as possible in this matter. And the sharing among us would only enhance the power and wisdom of our whole body in this course.
过去的一年中，我最主要的讲真相环境是我在常人中的工作场所。我的工作是在卫生部门帮助华人和医护人员们语言上的沟通。因为接触到的华人都是病人，一般是来医院复查或做一些小手术，我就利用和他们一起等候医生的时间同他们聊天，所以很容易把话题引到具有祛病健身效果的法轮功上。
Over the past year, my main form of truth clarification has been through my work, in interpreting for English speaking health-care professions and Chinese patients. Since these Chinese patients often come to have their hospital check-ups or minor surgeries, it is very easy for me to direct conversations towards Falun Gong and its health benefits.
但是因为碰到的人形形色色，每个人在对待法轮功这个问题上心结都不同，所以我会以第三者的身份同他们先聊聊，然后自然的带到法轮功这个话题，这样做有利于对方将自己真实的想法谈出来，我再根据他们不同的执着、背景和症结，对症下药有的放矢的去讲。
But since all the people I meet are quite different, they of course have different kinds of understandings towards Falun Gong. Thus, I have adopted speaking to them as an outsider of Falun Gong, then slowly leading on naturally to things I wanted to mention. Doing it this way helped me gain their real opinion on Falun Gong, enabling my clarification to adapt according to their background, attachments, obstacles, resolving their core misunderstandings.
我一般是这样开始的：阿姨，您说您的身体差，如果有急病重病，当然要找西医开刀把命先救下，但在平时身体调理和增强人体免疫功能上，有没有考虑过自然疗法，或者平时练练气功打打太极之类的？ 据说法轮功祛病健身效果特别好，虽然中国不让炼，不过澳洲能炼啊。
I usually start like this: Auntie, you said that you have poor health. If there is a medical emergency, one should surely seek the help of western medicine and have a surgery if necessary, but for maintaining general health or improving immunity, have you ever considered natural therapies or Qigong exercises? I heard that Falun Gong is particularly good in improving one’s health, although it is not allowed to be practice in China. However, it is allowed in Australia.
有些人会这样回答：练练功锻炼身体没问题，但法轮功为什么要去搞政治，反对政府？我说：“阿姨您是指他们在外面发九评共产党，说共产党做了哪些坏事是吗？其实法轮功不讲这个还真的不行，因为您想想，民主国家讲三权分立，清楚的把立法、执法和司法分开，让他们相互制衡，加上媒体的舆论监督，所以一般一个正常国家的政府取缔某一个功法，大众会公认这个功法的确有问题。但在中国，司法为党的需要服务，媒体是政府的喉舌，如果西方国家的政府官员或民众，不了解这个情况，把中共想象成和他们一样的政府，他们就会相信中共对法轮功的造谣宣传，会误认为法轮功真有问题。法轮功修炼者发现了这个问题，所以他们觉得光讲法轮功是好的还不行，必须要讲清这个中共到底是什么样的一个东西，它历史上杀害和镇压了多少中国人？它的本性是什么？这样人们才会关注法轮功受到的迫害，并帮助停止这场迫害。所以不讲这一点还真的讲不清。”一般情况对方听了都能接受。
Some would say: “it isn’t a problem to practice exercise to improve one’s health, but why did Falun Gong involve in politics and go against the government?” I would reply: “Auntie, are you referring to their distribution of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and their spreading to the public of the terrible thing the CCP did in history? Falun Gong people were actually forced into this situation. Think about it, in a democratic country, the separation of powers- legislative, executive, and judicial- hinder any one branch from accumulating too much power, plus the independent media alongside. So if a certain type of Qigong is outlawed by the government in a democratic country, the general public would accept this practice being bad.
But in China, the judiciary system and media act as the government’s mouthpiece. Thus, if people from free countries don’t consider this, they will believe the CCP’s propaganda against Falun Gong, mistaking them and judging them according to the standards of their governmental system. Therefore, practitioners of Falun Gong realised saying ‘Falun Gong is good’ won’t suffice, as they must clarify what the nature of the CCP really is, and how many Chinese people it has killed. Only by clarifying this first, can people pay attention to what Falun is going through in China, and ultimately help stop this persecution. So it won’t do if they don’t clarify that." Most people would accept that.
有些人受中共的宣传毒害较深，一提到法轮功，他就会照搬一些中共诋毁法轮功的言辞。针对这种人，我会告诉他：“先生，千万不要这么说。我在大学上翻译课程的时候，有一个台湾来的老师，他在第一堂课上告诉我们：作为一个翻译，你必须有一个基本的素质，那就是对任何事情抱有一个客观的态度。比如有人告诉你法轮功反动，你自己要客观的去了解一下，它到底反动不反动。我觉得这位老师讲的话很有道理。一个人要有自己客观判断的能力，这样看世界上的事情才真正看的明白。我本人以客观态度了解到的法轮功是佛家高德大法，应该大大弘扬。我建议您也去看看法轮功的书，自己去了解第一手的资料，然后得出自己的结论。到时您再讲出的话可能就和现在大不相同了。”
Some people were deeply poisoned by the CCP’s propaganda and would repeat their words of defamation towards Falun Gong. For such people, I would say: "Sir, please do not speak like that. When I was studying in university, there was a teacher from Taiwan who taught us translation. He told us at the first lesson: as a translator, you must have a fundamental quality, that is, to look at things with an objective manner. For instance, if someone tells you that Falun Gong is reactionary (or evil?), you need to find it out objectively. I think what this teacher said was very rational. One should have the ability to make his own objective judgment, only by doing so can this person see clearly the things happening in this world. The Falun Gong that I discovered objectively is a great cultivation way of the Buddha school, and it should be spread far and wide. I suggest that you check out Falun Gong books yourself, get your own first-hand information, and then draw your own conclusions. Maybe by then, what you say would be quite different."
另外一种打开话题的方法是问问他们最近有否回国？看到国内的情况怎样？
这样许多人自然会谈到国内的环境污染、假货充斥、贪污腐败等等。当他们谈到这些问题时，我一般就说：“我听到的国内最可怕的事是活体摘取法轮功修炼人的器官。你们听说了吗？”他们有的会说真会有这等事？会不会是编造出来的？我说：“阿姨，您是善良人，可能想都不敢想会有这种事，可怕的是，这是事实，国外人权律师独立调查得出的结论是中国有大规模通过活体摘取器官牟利的事。您想想，我们中国人有几个愿意捐出自己人体器官的，说用的是死刑犯的器官，中国一年的死刑犯也不过几千人，然而就在法轮功被迫害后不久，中国移植业蓬勃发展，每年公布的移植案例一万多个，实际数字据说可能十倍，哪里来的几十或几百万人的器官库，原来来源就是那些不报姓名不想连累家人的法轮功修炼人啊。”几乎每个人听到后都会表示这实在是惨无人道。
Another approach to start the conversation is through asking whether they have returned to China recently, and what they think of China. Naturally, many people would talk about China’s polluted environment, fake consumer products, corruption and so on. When they talked about these issues, I would usually say: "The most horrible thing I heard about China is forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. Have you heard about it?" Some of them would say: Yes, but it can’t be true right? Maybe these are made-up stories. I said: "Auntie, you are a kind-hearted person, so you would never imagine such horrible things exist. But unfortunately, it is true. The independent investigation by human rights lawyers abroad came to the conclusion that there are large-scale activities of forced organ harvesting happening in China. Just think about it, how many Chinese are willing to donate their organs? Some say the organs are from death row, but that would only make up several thousand people. Also, the expansion of China’s transplant industry happened right after the persecution of Falun Gong started. The annual figure of transplant cases published is more than ten thousand, and the actual figure is said to be 10 times. So who are these people that made up such a large organ bank? They are Falun Gong practitioners who refused to give their name in order to protect their family from being implicated.” Almost everyone would react, saying that it is truly inhumane.
在讲真相的过程中，我时时能感受到师父的慈悲呵护。 有一次一位女士眼睛需要开刀，那天来做手术前检查。平时需要翻译的病人会被优先照顾，原因是翻译到点了必须离开，去服务其他病人。可那次偏偏过了快一个小时了也没轮到她，那时等候室里的病人已走了一半，我觉得很奇怪。
I can always feel Master’s compassionate help whilst in the process of clarifying the truth to others. Once, a lady came for a health check before her eye operation. Whereas usually, patients needing interpreters are placed early in the queue so the interpreter has time to leave for later jobs, that time, that patient’s name was not called after nearly an hour, and by then half of the patients in the waiting room had gone. I found it very strange.
后来我突然想到，刚才等候室内病人多，只有零星的几个空位，我因没有机会坐在他们身边聊真相，一直在填写自己的工作记录表。可能师父在等我先同她们讲真相呢。结果我过去和她们一聊，发现旁边陪她的是刚从国内来探亲的姐姐，她告诉我自己是位外科医生。我马上接上话题说想了解国内活摘法轮功器官的事。她说自己不知道，没听说过。后来我想到可能她因为同那些活摘器官的医生有相同的职业而本能的不愿接受真相，我就非常肯定的把她同那些人区分开，再将活摘器官的真相完整的告诉了她。她最终接受了真相。
Then I suddenly realised that upon just arriving to the hospital that there were only a few scattered seats left in the waiting room, and thus I wouldn’t be able to sit with the patient I was about to help. As I continued filling in my working record sheet, I thought, perhaps Master is waiting for me to clarify the facts to them. So I approached them and upon chatting discovered the lady next to the patient was her sister, who had come to visit her from China. She told me that she was a surgeon. I immediately asked her if she knew about the forced organ harvesting from living FLG practitioners, she said that she had never heard of it. I guessed she was reluctant to accept the facts since she was part of the profession. So I separated her from those people, and then clarified the facts to her. After this she finally accepted the truth.
我明白是师父在安排一切，成全一切，而由于自己的疏忽，我差点让这个从大陆出来的可贵生命失去明白真相的机会。我提醒自己今后一定要注意。所以以后即使碰到来看牙齿或时间特别短的会诊，也就是根本没有机会在里面说话的病人，我都会利用他们等下次预约时间的那么几分钟，或和他们在门外道别的片刻向他们讲真相。
I understand that it was Master who arranged and perfected everything, but due to my negligence, I had almost caused this precious Chinese person to lose her opportunity to understand the truth. I reminded myself that I must pay close attention to this in the future. From that time onward, I would try my best to not to let any opportunities of truth clarifying slip by. Thus, even with patients who had a very short time consultation, I would still clarify the facts to them in the short while I had whilst waiting for their next appointment time, or whilst saying goodbye outside the clinic.
有一次一位老先生陪他的太太来看病，他表示对法轮功学员不理解，也一直不看大纪元，因为他曾经亲自目睹了一位我们团体中个人走极端、偏离了大法修理原则而出现的不正确状态。因此我就针对他的症结，用智慧完整的讲了法轮功的真相，也介绍了大纪元。她太太一直在点头，可他整个过程中没什么反应，而且一句话也没说。那天我回家后在想，如果我再一次能见到那位先生就好了，下一次一定能说通他。
Once I met an old man who was accompanying his wife to see a doctor. He told me that he could not understand Falun Gong practitioners, and he chose not to read the Epoch Times, because he had personally witnessed the incorrect state of an individual who went to extremes, and deviated from the principles of Dafa. That time, I explained many things about Falun Gong in detail to this couple, using very simple and understandable stories. I also introduced them to the Epoch Times. His wife kept nodding, but he made no response at all throughout the process. That day after I went home, I thought to myself, I wish that I could see that gentleman again, and next time, I for sure will make him understand.
没想到三个月后，我在同一家医院为他本人做翻译，他太太那天没来。那次他看到我后很激动，从医院门口出来，他同我聊了很久，他说现在已开始看大纪元。我突然感觉到他变了很多，而且从他嘴里说出了许多都是我上次告诉过他们的真相，他还向大纪元提出了一些好的建议，他整个变了一个人。通过这件事师父让我明白了，我们只要本着善心去做自己该做的，虽然有时众生表面上没有任何变化，这并不代表我们讲的真相不起作用。我们千万不能因对方的态度而懈怠或失去信心。
I never expected that three months later, I would see him in the same hospital as his interpreter. His wife did not come that day, and he was very excited to see me. After we walked out of the hospital, he had a long chat with me and told me that he had been reading the Epoch Times. I suddenly noticed a huge change in him, and from his mouth, he was saying many things I had told them last time, and even made some good suggestions for The Epoch Times. He had become a completely different person. Through this experience, Master revealed that all we need to do is to try our best in doing what we should do. Sometimes we may see no change on the surface after clarifying the fact, but it doesn’t mean that it had no effect. Therefore, we should not slack off or lose confidence because of people’s initially poor attitude.
在我工作的其中一家医院附近有一个旅游景点，那里一年四季有我们的同修讲真相。面对一车车来旅游的可贵中国人，有空时我也想和其他同修一样劝三退，但总觉得三言两语就把人退了对我来说还很难。我想起以前和另一位同修一起制作了一些讲真相的标语，如“歌功颂德不是爱国，忠言逆耳才是利国”等，我觉得这些标语能破除中国游客的一些观念，至少打开他们的思路，使他们更容易接受真相，所以即使有时只有上班前那么一丁点儿的时间，我会拿着真相标语在那里站上十五分钟或半个小时，碰到巧的时候，还能有机会帮助澄清碰到的一些问题。
There is a tourist site near one of the hospitals that I work for. There are practitioners there clarifying the truth all year round. Upon seeing those precious Chinese people coming in, bus after bus, I wanted to join these fellow practitioners, but came to find persuading people to quit from CCP in a few words challenging. I then remembered that at home, I had some cardboard signs I had made with a fellow practitioner. They had great words that could break some notions the Mainland Chinese may have, open their minds, and help them accept the truth more easily. So sometimes when I had only 15 or 30 minutes before work, I would hold up my cardboard signs there. Sometimes upon going at the right time, I could help clear some misunderstandings that practitioners encountered.
比如有一次，有一个开旅游大巴的司机在回旅游车的路上，看到我和另两位同修拿着真相资料，他对我说你们到底在做什么？因为刚才有人告诉他游客们看到我们在这里，所以没心情旅游了，想早点回去。我说，这些游客来自共产独裁国家，可能一辈子只有一次机会来到海外，我们不想错过让他们接受澳大利亚民主理念的机会，让他们了解全世界都可以炼法轮功，法轮功不象中共宣传的那样。我说我们已在澳洲享受自由，我们是为了中国人和他们的后代也能享受这样的自由，在为他们争取这个权力。但因为许多人已被洗脑，想改变他们的思想不是一件容易的事，但我们不能因此而放弃。然后我向他解释了我手里拿的标语，我说这是不是为中国人好？他说原来是这样。我还提醒他，说这话的人，可能拿了中领馆的好处，来散布此等消息。一般来旅游的人，看到我们可能会感到意外，但不会说这种话。他友好的点头，表示感谢。
For instance, once when a western tourist bus driver was walking back to his bus, he asked upon seeing our truth-clarifying materials, “what are you doing here?” He said someone had told him that the tourists lost the mood to sightsee after seeing Falun Gong practitioners. I explained that these tourists are from totalitarian China, and this could be their once in a life time opportunity in a free country. So we did’t want them to miss witnessing the democracy of Australia, and help them understand that Falun Gong can be practiced all over the world, as it is not like what the CCP said. I told him that we were enjoying the freedom of Australia, and hoping the Chinese and their future generations could share this freedom, and we are fighting for this right for them. But because many of them were deeply brainwashed, it wasn’t easy to change their mind. But we don’t want to give up on them. Then I explained the words on the cardboard that I was holding, and asked him: “isn’t this for the good of China?” He said: “so this is the story”. I also reminded him: “the person who spread the negative message to you may be doing so for the Chinese consulate or for personal gain. Some tourists may feel surprised upon finding us here, but they wouldn’t say words like that.” He kept nodding and then said thank you.
最近，我参与了推广神韵的说明会小组，在推广神韵准备演讲工作的过程中，我更深刻的了解到传统文化的精髓，及明白为什么中共要迫害法轮功。旧势力安排了中共邪党来毁人，就是通过毁灭人的道德良知，毁灭人的神性来实现的，所以历史上中共才发动了历次运动来破坏传统文化，毁掉人的正信。法轮功的传出使人类又一次与传统修炼文化接轨，恢复人的神性，复苏人的良知，中共因此要迫害法轮功。所以当有病人问我，中共为什么不镇压别的功派，为什么偏偏镇压法轮功时，我说这很简单，除了法轮功人多之外，最根本的原因是因为这些功派已失去了心法那一部分或根本没有心法，而法轮功是直接来恢复人的神性一面的，而且真正起到了这个作用，而这神性的一面正是中共想毁灭的，所以中共才千方百计的要铲除法轮功。
Recently, I joined the Shen Yun presentation team. During the process of preparing the Shen Yun speech, I came to a deeper understanding of the essence of traditional Chinese culture, and why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong. The old forces arranged for the CCP to destroy sentient beings through the destruction of people’s moral conscience, and the destruction of their divine nature. Therefore, the CCP launched various campaigns to damage traditional culture and destroy orthodox beliefs. The spread of Falun Gong enabled people to reconnect with a traditional cultivation culture, restore human divinity, awaken conscience, and so the CCP persecutes Falun Gong. So when some patients ask me, why doesn’t the CCP suppress other Qigong practices part from Falun gong? I’d say, it is very simple – apart from the huge number of practitioners, the most fundamental reason is because other Qigong practices either never talk about the cultivation of one’s nature or have lost the teaching of this side. But Falun Gong restores one’s divine nature, and this divine nature is the very thing that the CCP aims to destroy, and this is why the CCP have exhausted every possible way to eradicate Falun Gong.
我很感激师尊给我安排了这么好的环境让我去深入细致的讲真相。我深知自己还没有修出那种能在旅游点上三言两语帮人做成三退的正念，那我就在自己的工作岗位上，利用拥有更多时间的优势，以及作为翻译这么个有利的角色，扎扎实实的、智慧的讲清真相。我们就象师父的功，在不同的岗位上起不同的作用。只要我们去用心，法就会给我们智慧。我还提醒自己要把法轮大法真、善、忍的美好体现在善待我所遇见的众生和病人，碰到举手之劳之事就帮他们一下，所以很多老年人非常感激，他们说你这个翻译一点没有架子，是我们碰到的最好最耐心的翻译；也有医务人员向翻译总部反馈，表扬我工作出色；安排工作的办公室人员也告诉我，他们认为我是最负责、最值得信赖的翻译。
I am very grateful that Master has arranged such a good environment for me to thoroughly clarify the truth. I know that I am still not able to persuade people into quitting the CCP after just a few words at tourist sites, thus I’d better take advantage of having more time to chat with people, and my favourable role as interpreter, to clarify the facts more completely. We are like Master’s gong, being made up of different functions and roles. As long as we have the heart, Master will provide us with the wisdom.
I always guide my behaviour according to Dafa principles – Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, being kind to all patients that I meet, and providing extra help when needed. So many elderly people were very grateful for this and said to me: you are not stuck up like some other interpreters, you are the most patient person that we have met so far. There were also many positive feedbacks about me from the medical hospital staff too.
我知道这一切只因为我是大法弟子，是法轮大法使我们变得高尚，使我们学会注重和珍惜其他生命，关注他人的需要。离开了法，离开了师父，我们什么也不是。我能明显的感受到，只要自己学法不够，修炼状态不好时，自己讲出的话就没有威力，救人的效果就相应逊色。所以在做师父要求我们的三件事上，我还得更加重视，否则就是常人在做大法的事，就救不了人。
I know that I was able to do this only because I am a Dafa disciple. It is Falun Dafa that makes us noble, teaches us to cherish other lives and pay attention to the needs of others. Without the Fa, without Master, we are nothing. I can clearly feel that as soon as I hadn’t studied the Fa enough, or when my cultivation state isn’t well, the words I speak out becomes powerless and less effective. Thus I must pay close attention to performing the three things Master asks of us, otherwise I will be an everyday person doing Dafa work, and will surely fail in assisting Master in saving sentient beings.
师父在《2004纽约国际法会讲法》中说：“另一方面呢，大法弟子所做的那一切，讲清真相中所说的那一切，会使真相在常人社会中流传，使人和人之间形成交流的环境。那么在这个环境中，人和人之间的谈论也会使那些生命得救，这是间接的。还有一个问题就是有许多生命受了邪恶生命毒害的影响，在他们的头脑中装了很多不好的中共造谣媒体的宣传。那么大家在讲清真相中能够肃清它更好，因为人对大法不好的思想会被那些迫害大法弟子的邪恶生命控制。那么大法弟子在发正念中、正念正行中就会清除它们。”
Master told us in Teaching the Fa at 2004 International Fa Conference in New York : “On the other hand, everything that Dafa disciples have done and everything that Dafa disciples have said when clarifying the facts causes the facts to circulate in ordinary human society and creates an environment that fosters communication among the people. Then with that environment, the discussions people have are another way for those beings to get saved, an indirect way. Another thing is that many beings have been poisoned by the evil beings, and in their minds there is a lot of propaganda from the CCP’s slanderous media. In that case, it’s better if you can clear it away through clarifying the facts, because the negative thoughts that human beings have about Dafa can be taken advantage of and used by those evil beings that persecute Dafa disciples. So Dafa disciples can remove them while sending forth righteous thoughts and through their righteous thoughts and righteous actions.”
我能真切的体会到随着大法弟子不断讲真相，周围环境所发生的变化。同修们，让我们一起，互相帮助，精进实修，抓紧救人，共同兑现我们的史前大愿。
I can really feel the change in my surrounding environment as Dafa disciples continue to clarify the truth. Fellow practitioners, let’s help out each other, be diligent in our cultivation, pay close attention to saving people, and together let us fulfil our prehistoric vow.
