Believe in Master and the Fa – Save Sentient Beings by Clarifying the Facts
Greetings benevolent Master!
Greeting fellow practitioners!
I started cultivation from 2013. I attained the Fa after another Dafa Disciple clarified the facts to me. As a new practitioner, I experienced tremendous changes in both my mind and body after practising Dafa for only a few years. I am very thankful for being saved by benevolent Master, and I’d like to share my experiences from practising Dafa.
Cancer disappeared after practising Dafa
I had treatment for cervical cancer in 2012. The pain after chemotherapy is unimaginable for normal people. In 2013 I lost nearly all my hair after the treatment and I also suffered from depression. While I was still recovering from the chemotherapy, I became sick again with other symptoms, I was skinny, feeling weak and feeble, and my face looked like yellow wax.
One day in September 2013, I went to Melbourne Chinatown and a practitioner clarified the facts about the persecution to me. She also introduced Falun Gong to me as she noticed I was very week. She told me that practising Falun Gong can help to cure illness, and she recommended Zhuan Falun to me.
I was shocked after reading Zhuan Falun. I’ve never learnt anything like that in any of the textbooks I read, and it changed my view towards life, human beings and the universe. The more I read Zhuan Falun, the more I felt incredible.
I changed my view of life and I decided to follow the principles of Zhen Shan Ren to be a good person. A strong feeling arose from the bottom of my heart: “I want to cultivate, and return to the original true self”. After I had that wish, Master helped me to purify my body, all my symptoms and illnesses disappeared. All my hair grew back like before, I felt light and full of energy. I became happy and healthy.
Miracles After Cultivation
Dafa principles made me became an honest, patient and kind person. I learnt to look within whenever things happened and kept improving my xinxing. Master gave me a second chance to live, made me healthier and more tolerant, improved my moral standard and gave me endless blessings.
Although I am a new practitioner, Master always looks after me. There was one time I went to a friend’s house to learn how to make pastry. There was a wok full of boiling oil. For some reasons water was poured into the boiling oil by accident and the oil exploded and spilt on my hair, neck and ears. All my friends were terrified; they turned off the burner and put a lid on the wok. I just stood there doing heshi and mumbled: “Master please help me, I am not pretty, and I will be more ugly if I get scars after burns. I can’t go out to clarify the truth and play waist drum with an ugly burned face.” As I was only standing there doing nothing, some of my friends thought that I was struck dumb with terror, and others thought I was in too much pain due to the oil burns. I told them without hesitation: “I am fine, and I am protected by my Master.”
They gave me ointment which I refused. I only washed myself with cold water and wiped the burns with a clean tissue after. I looked into the mirror afterwards and I was amazed that despite having had oil all over my hair and face, my face wasn’t affected at all. Even the small amount of pain I experienced immediately following the burn disappeared. I only had half a dozen red blisters on my neck. My friends were concerned about me and reminded me that I should avoid hot water when I took a shower later as it would be very painful. I went home after thanking them.
I took a shower as usual that night and I even broke the blisters after washing my neck, but I didn’t feel any pain at all. I went to the truth clarification site a couple of days later. The blisters on my neck became tiny scabs that peeled off the next day. There were no visible marks after the scabs peeled off and my neck looked normal. It only took me three days to recover from the accident: Dafa is truly amazing!
I knew it was because Master was looking after me. Master is always with us and protecting us. I understand that I must be more diligent and do the three things well, follow the principle of Zhen Shan Ren to be a good person and believe in Dafa and Master. As Master told us: “When disciples have ample righteous thoughts, Master has the power to turn back the tide” (‘The Master-Disciple Bond’, Hong Yin II)
Study Fa and Melt into the Fa
Dafa disciples in the Fa ratification period shoulder huge responsibilities. We need to cultivate ourselves well and do the three things well.
Master said: “Dafa is the Law of the cosmos, and it is what brings life into being and makes greatness possible. To learn it, it’s necessary that you study it with all due seriousness and mental calm, and do so consistently, while also ensuring that you understand what you are reading. Only when you ensure that your conduct as a person – and as a cultivator – abides by the Fa are you a Dafa disciple. The exercises play a supporting role alongside cultivation, and neither can be neglected.’ (A Congratulatory Letter to the Fa Conference of Argentina)
When I was reading Zhuan Falun with other practitioners in a small Fa study group, I felt like I was only reading the words but didn’t absorb the Fa into my heart, and my mind was not calm. So I decided to copy Zhuan Falun and other lectures by Master in my own handwriting. Each day, I study Fa for an hour and copy Fa for an hour. When I am writing every single character of the Fa I am focused and calm, and my mind will not become distracted. So far, I have already copied Zhuan Falun twice and all the other lectures once. The more I study Fa in depth, the more wonderful I feel. When I study Fa, I stay focused without thinking of anything else, every single word taught by Master hit the most microscopic level of my being and every single cell in my body was impacted by the Fa. I felt that my whole heart and body melted into Dafa and the deeper meaning of Dafa was displayed in front of me. I felt my soul was elevated and my heart was full and peaceful. I knew all sentient beings came for the Fa, were created by the Fa and exist for the Fa. Human society is our biggest practice site for cultivation.
Clarifying the Facts and Fulfilling Our Vow
As Fa ratification period Dafa disciples, our mission is to clarify the facts to sentient beings and save them, and this is the historical mission given to us by Master. Clarifying the facts to sentient beings is a process of validating Dafa and also a process of cultivating myself. Clarifying the truth face to face is like being an itinerant: “There is a lot of hardship involved in roaming about, since it means that one must wander about the world and beg for food, and one might experience ridicule, verbal abuse, or mistreatment from all sort of people. Anything can happen.”(Zhuan Falun, Lecture Eight)
I knew sentient beings were given chances to be saved when they received our materials or newspapers, and I felt happy for them. However, there were other people who refused to take the newspaper, kept silent, remained indifferent, and some would become emotional, yelling and swearing and saying bad things. One day I tried to tell a tourist about the truth and give him newspaper. He not only refused but also yelled at me: “Shut up! Just shut up! We will not listen to you. You simply have nothing better to do in your life! Stay away from me!” He was running away from me while he was still yelling. I stood there, pointed my figure towards him, trying to yell back, however I didn’t do it. I said to myself I am a practitioner, and I can’t be like him. Although I didn’t argue with him on the surface, I couldn’t let go of my attachment, and I was feeling angry, miserable, and aggrieved. Then I remembered Master’s Fa:
“Forbearance is the key to improving one’s xinxing. To endure with anger, grievance, or tears is the forbearance of an everyday person who is attached to his concerns. To endure completely without anger or grievance is the forbearance of a cultivator.”（What is Forbearance? Essentials for Further Advancement）
I realised that I was only tolerating with a heart of disappointment and irritation which was just ordinary people’s tolerance. This was not the real me, and I need to deny it. I enlightened to the point that even if other people have done me wrong and hurt me, it is still my problem. There must be something I need to improve. Why do I have to prove myself right? It was the attachments of needing to prove myself right and seeking for fame that made me feel angry and aggrieved. If I really looked within, I would not be moved by the issue of who is right or who is wrong. I should only pay attention to my own thoughts, my attachments and whether I was doing things according to Dafa. These are the keys to cultivating myself.
During the process of clarifying the facts, many attachments of mine were exposed; such as the attachments to fame, ego, competitiveness, pursuit, holding negative thoughts towards Chinese tourists, and the CCP’s cultural influence. The strongest attachment is fear. I was scared that people will refuse to take my material, that people will not read the material after they took it from me and many other things. Master said: “Fear can cause one to make mistakes, and fear can cause one to lose a predestined opportunity. Fear is a death trap on a human being’s journey toward divinity.” (‘Pass the Deadly Test’, Essentials of Diligent Progress Vol.III ) I found my attachment of fear after reading the Fa, and I started to eliminate my fears whenever they arise. I believe in Master and the Fa – look within and purify myself. Soon I overcame my attachment and clarified the facts to sentient beings without fear.
Master’s fashen always bring predestined sentient beings to me to hear the truth. Once I met a lady near the Chinese consulate who looked very worried. When I talked to her she told me that she couldn’t find her family and she didn’t have a mobile phone with her. So I gave her my mobile phone to call her family. Her family was taking photos but she had no idea where they were. After I helped her find her family, I noticed that I had been talking to one of them not long ago. Her family thanked me and wanted to pay me money for her use of my mobile. I told them not to thank me but my Master, Mr. Li Hongzhi. I explained that I only follow the principles of Zhen Shan Ren taught by Master, to become a good person and consider others first. They all seemed to be happy to hear what I said, so I started to tell them that the CCP can’t represent China because the evil party fabricates lies, launches political campaigns and blatantly kills people. From the 4th June 1989 Tiananmen massacre to the persecution of Falun Gong since 1999, the crimes were too numerous to record. They listened to me carefully and nodded many times to agree with what I said. I also told them how Dafa saved me and I share with them my personal experience after practising Dafa. In the end the family of four all happily quit the CCP using their real names. They also asked for more information material and shook my hands excitedly and thanked me a few times. I said to them: “Just thank my Master, also no matter where you go, please remember Falun Dafa Hao! Zhen Shan Ren Hao! Let one more person know about the truth and you will save one more person, and you will be rewarded with blessings”. I was truly grateful to see sentient beings understand the truth and be saved. Thank you, compassionate Master, it was my supreme honour to be able to obtain this most precious Dafa. I will fulfil my duties as a Dafa disciple, save more sentient being and truly help Master to rectify the Fa.
Master said: “Some people still have a chance, but some no longer do. For some there is still time left, and for some their only hope is to sprint. But if the person hasn’t laid an adequate foundation, and if the person’s understanding of the Fa is limited, how could he have the drive to persist? Have you been diligent? If you haven’t laid a solid foundation that’s built on the Fa, you won’t be able to do that. That kind of determination and firm sense of conviction come from the Fa.” (Fa Teaching at the 2015 West Coast Fa Conference)
I understand that Fa rectification has now come near to the very end, and the time left for me has become less and less. There will be no time for me to stray from my path of cultivation. I need to get rid of all my human notions, give up all the attachments and run fast to catch up with the Fa rectification process so that I can fulfil my mission and go home with Master.
