推廣神韻過程中的點滴修煉體會

尊敬的同修好!

199610月得法,修煉至今已有近16年的時間了。以下向師父和同修匯報一下今年在推廣神韻過程中的點滴體會。

 

. 向内找是形成整体的关

神韻是由師父親自在做,所以推广好神韻是很重要的,是其他任何項目都不能與之相提並論的。如果我們推广做的不好,其他項目也難以做好。今年大紀元總部也提出了明確的要求:把推廣神韻放在首位,要求各地報社全力以赴的配合做好神韻。

當悉尼神韻演出的劇場幾經周折定下來後,看到大家都那麼的齊心和有決心,我深受感動,也和大家一樣,信心十足的要做好今年的神韻。

但是怎樣才能做好神韻呢?交流中大家都明白,要做好神韻,就必須從心性上下功夫,在自身的修煉上有所突破。師父在經文《什麼是大法弟子》中碰到矛盾了,不管我對我錯,會想自己:這件事情我有什麼不對的地方?是不是真的我出現什麼不對了?都在這樣思考,第一念思考自己、想問題,誰不是這樣你就不是一個真正的大法修煉人。這是修煉的法寶,這是我們大法弟子修煉的一個特點。碰到的任何事情,第一念首先想自己,這就叫「向找」。

回想自己走過的路,做的最差的時候,就是習慣性的看別人的不足,不的時候。其實這個時候就談不上真正的互相配合,也嚴重的阻礙著大法弟子的正念形成整體。因此,要做好神韻,就一定要首先改掉向外看別人不足的壞習慣。自己暗下決心:不去看別人的不足,只看自己哪裡沒有做好;看到不足的地方盡量去彌補,而不是抱怨。

記得3月初,離神韻演出的時間越來越近了,可是票卻出的很慢。心裡確實很著急,一個勁的找原因。這時想到了要向找,覺得肯定是我哪裡沒有做好。靜下心來,誠心誠意的找自己的不足,還真的發現了問題。

一直以來,我總是認為向主流社會推廣神韻是英文好的同修該做的,自己英文不好,只要在後邊支持、配合就行了。因此,票賣不好的時候,就希望前線推票的同修能做的再好一些,有時甚至還生出抱怨同修的心來。這次我問自己:我真的把推广神韻放在首位了嗎?我真的把神韻看成是自己的事了嗎?假如神韻是我自己的一個生意,我會怎樣去做呢?我會因為自己英文不好而把責任推給其他人?

正巧,那幾天又碰上一些同修輪番的給我打電話。有的:你老協調別人出去推票,你自己為什麼不去?也有的:你一定得出去啊!出去做做就會了,沒有誰是天生會的。其實,我並不想賴在家裡懶,是我老覺得自己不行,而且不知不覺的把英文不好不去推票看成是理所當然的事情。其實是被自己固有的觀念擋住了。

師父在經文《什麼是大法弟子》中還一個大法弟子,如果你的正念非常強,力可劈山,一念就做了。我發現了自己的不足,就去改正,衝破了自身的觀念,眼前就是另一番景象了。

當我真的不去看別人,只想自己如何做好的時候,就感到渾身上下充滿了慈悲的能量,感到心的容量也擴大了,沒有了憤憤不平的感覺。周圍的環境也變得更加祥和,常常感到有一股強大的力量在推着我不斷向前。

為了能有更多的時間去做神韻,大紀元編輯部同意,把我平時做的一周8個新聞版全部安排給了其他同修承擔。這種配合和付出,對我是極大的鼓勵和鞭策;為了讓我安心到外面推票,母親也承擔了更多照顧父親和家庭的事情,解決了我的後顧之憂(因為我的父親生活不能自理,日夜都需要有人照顧)。

 

. 突破自我束,面面推神韵

要去推廣神韻,遇到的最大困難就是不知怎麼去講神韻,連中文的都講不清楚。那就只能花功夫去背和記介紹神韻的容。不停的背,不停的出去找機會跟人講,這樣感覺提高很快,幾乎是一天一個樣。第一次感到原來背介神韻的材料並不難,以這種方式學英文並不難。剛開始我是跟著同修一起出去,大約兩個星期後就單獨出去上街介紹神韻了,後來又有同修加入一起去做。

我起步比較晚,邊學邊做就像是幼兒學步,過程中真切的感受到師父慈悲的呵護和鼓勵。剛開始還不太會用英文介紹的時候,常常會碰上有緣的華人,一講就要買票,而且還幫其他人一起買(這樣的情形起碼碰上三次);當英文材料背得多一些,但又怕講不好的時候,就遇到了特別善良,耐心又特別好的澳洲老人,他邊聽邊點頭稱讚,還要求我接著講下去。當我能一次次的跟人講神韻,心中的喜悅難以言表。但是好像剛剛才摸到點門道,做的正來勁,都停不下來的時候,神韻就開演了。

神韻是救人的,出去介紹神韻和推票的過程也就是救人的過程。看到還有那麼多人不知道神韻;還有很多人知道神韻來了,但不知神韻是什麼,就覺得跟人面對面的介紹神韻是很有必要的。

在此和大家分享一下推票過程中遇到的幾件事。

有一次一位台灣老先生來到我們的商場售票點。他他每年都看神韻,每次他都感動落淚。但是今年神韻演出的時候他可能不在悉尼,因此猶豫着要不要買票。交談中他告訴我們,讓他最感遺憾的是他的兩個從大陸來的員工,他們工作都很認真,但只要一中共不好就會翻臉。我讓他們看神韻就會明白真相了,老先生他們不會來看的,我你買票請他們的話就會來看了。談到後來,老先生覺得其實他們也挺可憐的,他們是共體制下的受害者。於是他當場就買了2張高價位的票,並:如果我不能來看,這票就讓這兩個員工來看,也可以救救他們。

還有一次碰上在政府部門工作一位華人先生。他週末還在老人院做義工,他兩年前看過神韻。當我告訴他神韻每年都推出全新的節目,並誇他照顧老人有愛心時,他很想和老人們一起去看神韻。但是他又老人比較窮,一百元對於他們是很大數目了。我就幫他出主意,讓他想辦法找些贊助。過了幾天他告訴我,十幾張票已經買好了,有人贊助了大部分的錢,老人們每人只出35塊。他還安排了一輛小Bus,週五晚上帶著他們一起看了神韻演出。看完後老人們高興的:神韻演出實在太好看了!

還有一次走到一家賣地板的店鋪,剛與老闆打了聲招呼,還沒來得及話,那人看到神韻的單張就急着要買票。我當場給辦公室打電話訂票,他也不問價格,把信用卡掏出來放在我面前,認真的選購了2張週末樓上第一排的票。

我弟弟不修煉,幾年前金融風暴的時候,他的生意一直很清淡,這時遇上神韻來悉尼演出了。看過神韻生意馬上就好了,真的很神奇,已整整3年多了,竟然天天都有忙不完的活。今年我向他推票時問他:你現在每年都看神韻演出,看到什麼了?有什麼感受?他:神韻在救人。他明白了真相,這次主動買了12張週日下午的票,放假一天,帶著他的幾個員工和家人一起看了神韻演出。

 

. 努力自我提高救度更多众生

我感覺到,今年推神韻比做任何事情都容易成功。師父真的已經把路都鋪好了,包括我們救人的能力師父也都已給我們準備好了,就看大法弟子去不去用,就看我們敢不敢突破自己,圓融師父所要的。

有一個年輕同修,剛從中國來澳洲兩個星期的時候,我們就結伴一起去走街推神韻。開始她老在後面不敢開口,但她認真的去背介紹神韻的材料。第二個星期她就能在另一同修的正念支持下,自己和商家講神韻了。接著她又在就讀的語言學校跟老師和同學講真相、推廣神韻。我們為她喝彩,她自己也,出去推神韻,英文就提高得特別快,現在講英文變得流利了,不知不覺膽怯的心也就沒了。

在今年的推票過程中最深的體悟是:我們只要去做,就會有收穫;只要去推,有人就会得救。這是神韻本身的威力。我們只是去告訴和提醒人們不要錯過機會而已。

大家知道,以後對推廣神韻的要求會更高,我应该更加的努力去提高,是救度眾生的需要,也是萬年不遇的機緣。感恩師父給了弟子這樣的機會,讓我們在正法最後階段救度更多的眾生,兌現自己的史前大願!

A few experiences in my experiences of promoting Shen Yun

 

Greetings Great and Benevolent Master!

Greetings my noble fellow practitioners!

I began practicing Falun Dafa almost 16 years ago, in October of 1996. Here I would like to share with you a few experiences I had during the process of promoting Shen Yun this year.

1. Looking within is the key to working well together as a body

Master is personally overseeing Shen Yun, therefore doing well at promoting Shen Yun is very important. It cannot be compared with any other project. If we do not do well at promoting Shen Yun it will be difficult to do other projects well. This year, The Epoch Times also brought foreword a clear requirement pertaining to this. That is, that Shen Yun promotion work was to be made a priority and all those working on the paper in various regions should give their best effort to cooperate to promote Shen Yun well.

When, at last, the theatre venue booking was confirmed for Shen Yun in Sydney, I was deeply moved to see that every practitioner was determined to do the Shen Yun promotion work well and our thinking was on the same page. I felt confident that we would all give 100% to do this work well.

However, how are we to do the work well? Through sharing we all know that to do the Shen Yun promotion work well we must work hard on improving our xinxing and making breakthroughs in our cultivation. In Master's Scripture, "What is a Dafa Disciple", Master says, "When you meet with a conflict, it doesn’t matter whether you are in the right. You should be asking yourself, “What on my part isn’t right in this situation? Might it really be that there is something wrong on my part?” You should all be thinking this way, with your first thought being to scrutinize yourself to try to find the problem. Whoever is not like this is not in fact a true cultivator of Dafa. It is a magical tool in our cultivation. This is a distinguishing feature of our Dafa disciples’ cultivation. Whatever it is that you encounter, the first thought should be to scrutinize yourself, and it’s called “looking within.” "

Looking in retrospect at my path of cultivation, I see that when I was doing most poorly it was when I had a habit of focusing on other's shortcomings and was not looking within myself. At such times it's not even worth mentioning truly "working together well with others". Such a habit also seriously blocks our efforts to form a unified body with righteous thoughts. Thus, in order to do Shen Yun promotion work well, the first thing to do was to change the bad habit of looking outside myself at other's shortcomings. I made a resolution in my mind to change this habit, to no longer hold grudges or have complaints but instead to focus on the shortcomings in myself and work hard on fixing them.

I remember in early March, as the time when Shen Yun would come to Sydney was drawing near and yet ticket sales were still going quite slowly. At that time, I thought to look within and decided that there must be something that I was not doing well enough with. After quieting my mind and earnestly looking for my shortcomings I found a problem in myself.

I had always considered that promoting Shen Yun to the mainstream, upper-end society was something reserved for those practitioners who were fluent in English, and that as someone with limited English fluency, I was better to support from the backlines and just play a cooperating role. Thus, when the tickets sales were not going well I was just hoping that the practitioners on the front line selling tickets would do a better job. Sometimes I even felt resentment in my heart. At that time I asked myself: Have I really put Shen Yun promotion work as the top priority? Was I really seeing doing Shen Yun promotion work well as my own personal responsibility? If Shen Yun promotion was my own personal business that I was running, how would I go about things? Would I really be putting the responsibility of doing the business well on those others who spoke English well?

Coincidentally, the following few days several fellow practitioners had been calling me on the phone saying, "you're always organising others to sell tickets, why are you yourself not getting out there?" Someone else said to me, "You must get out there [to promote ticket sales]. After you get some experience you will learn how to do it well. No-one is intrinsically capable at it." In fact, I also didn't want to just stay at home, not using my time well. I just always felt that I wasn't good enough for the work, and had just accepted, without thinking much about it, the thought that "those who cannot speak English well should not go out to sell tickets". In fact it was my stubborn human notions hindering me.

In Master's Scripture "What is a Dafa Disciple", Master says, "Even with just one Dafa disciple, if your righteous thoughts are strong, the power is enough to split a mountain—just one thought will do it." When I realised the shortcoming in my thinking I resolved to change it and break through my notions. I then felt my perspective on things change.

When I genuinely stopped focusing on others and just thought about how to do better myself, I felt a wave of compassionate energy cover my whole body and my heart became broader. I no longer harbored any feeling of indignation. I noticed my surrounding environment become more harmonious also. I also often felt a strong energy force pushing me to progress forward.

In order to have more time to do Shen Yun promotion work, The Epoch Times editorial division agreed to arrange other editors to take my responsibility of 8 news pieces a week. This kind of cooperation and effort from others was a great encouragement for me to do well. To help me feel at ease with going out to promote Shen Yun ticket sales, my mother also agreed to take on more responsibility looking after my father, who is not able to look after himself at all anymore, and other household affairs.

 

2. Breaking through selfishness to promote Shen Yun face to face

The biggest difficulty with going out to promote Shen Yun ticket sales, for me, was that I didn't know what to say. Even in Chinese, I wasn't clear on what I should say. I had no other option but to learn by heart a script for introducing Shen Yun and other such details. I constantly practiced reciting the introduction and constantly looked out for opportunities to go out and talk with people about Shen Yun. In this way, I felt I improved very quickly. Even on a daily basis I noticed big changes. I felt that memorising a script for introducing Shen Yun wasn't hard after all and that improving my English in this way was not hard either. In the beginning I always went out with other practitioners. After about 2 weeks, I began going out by myself to introduce Shen Yun. Later, however, I continued going out with others to introduce Shen Yun.

I began rather late, learning how to do the promotion work and going out to do the promotion work at the same time, a process just like a child learning to walk. During this process I really felt aware of Master's compassionate divine protection and encouragement. At the beginning I wasn't so good at using English to introduce Shen Yun. I would often run into Chinese people with a predestined relationship, however, and often they bought a ticket almost immediately. They would also get their friends to buy a ticket too (this happened three times in total). After I had memorised a decent amount of English Shen Yun introductory information but was still feeling insecure about my ability to speak to people, I would run into very kind and patient Australian locals that would nod while listening to me, even asking me to continue talking. As I improved further, I began to develop an attachment of elation and zealotry. When I finally really began feeling confident and full of Enthusiasm, the promotions were over and Shen Yun had arrived.

Shen Yun is saving people. The process of going out to introduce Shen Yun and selling tickets is also a process of saving people. I found that many people still don't know about Shen Yun. Even among those who have heard about it, many are still not clear about what kind of show it is. Therefore, speaking with people face-to-face to introduce Shen Yun is very important.

Here I would like to share with practitioners a few specific experiences of mine while promoting Shen Yun ticket sales

On one occasion, an old man from Taiwan came to our ticket sales office. He said that he goes to see Shen Yun every year. Every year he is moved to tears. He said that this year, however, he will probably not be in Sydney when Shen Yun comes, so he was not sure whether to buy a ticket or not. During our conversation he mentioned that what he pity's most is that his two workers from mainland China, although they work earnestly, the moment he mentions that the CCP is no good, they will get upset. I told him that he should get them to see Shen Yun, then they will understand the truth. The old man said that they were not willing to go. I suggested to him that if he paid for them to go then they would probably go. After talking some more, the old man agreed that the workers were indeed quite pitiable, as they were the victims of the CCP's propaganda. He then decided to buy two tickets and said, "in case I can't go to the show, I will give the tickets to my two workers, and then maybe they can be saved."

Another time I met a Chinese man who worked in the government. He was working as a volunteer at an old peoples home over the weekend. He said that he had seen Shen Yun two years earlier. I told him that Shen Yun comes to Australia every year and every year is a new program. He said the old people he cares for are all very compassionate people and he would like to take them to see the show, however they were all quite poor. $100 was quite a lot of money for them to spend on a ticket. I encouraged him to try to find a way to help pay for the elderly people's tickets. A few days later he contacted me and said that he had already bought ovr 10 tickets and that he had found a sponsor to help cover the ticket costs for the elderly people. In the end, the elderly people only needed to pay $35. He also arranged for a bus to take them to the show Friday night. After seeing the show the elderly people all said with excitement that Shen Yun was extremely beautiful!

On another occasion, I went to see a man who sold wooden floorboards. As soon as I called out to the boss, before I had even said anything, he saw the Shen Yun flyer I was carrying and was anxious to buy tickets. I immediately called the Shen Yun ticket office for him. He didn't even ask about the price, he just placed his credit card in front of me on the table and asked for 2 front row tickets to the weekend show.

My younger brother is not a practitioner. Since the economic downfall a few years ago his business was not going well. After seeing Shen Yun, however, immediately afterwards his business began doing better. It really is quite amazing. It has been three years now since he first saw Shen Yun, and his business has never slowed down. This year during the time when I was doing Shen Yun ticket sales promotions I asked him, "You see Shen Yun every year now. How do you feel about it. What kind of experience is it for you?" He said, "Shen Yun is saving people." This year he bought 12 tickets for the Sunday afternoon show. He took a day off work to see the show with his family and several of his employees.

 

3. Working hard on myself to save more sentient beings

This year I feel that promoting Shen Yun is actually the easiest thing to do successfully. Master has truly already arranged everything. Including the power needed to save people, Master has already given this to us. It just depends on us as to whether we choose to use this power and whether we dare to break through self and assist with what Master wants.

There is one young Dafa practitioner from Mainland China who had only been in Australia for two weeks when we went out on the street together to promote Shen Yun ticket sales. In the beginning she was always hiding behind me not daring to speak with people, but she earnestly worked on memorising the information for introducing Shen Yun. Two weeks on, under the support of another practitioner who went with her and sent righteous thoughts for her, she began talking to shops about Shen Yun. She then went on to clarify the truth and promote Shen Yun to the teachers and students at the language school she was attending. We were so happy for her, seeing her progress. She also said herself that in the process her English had improved remarkably fast. Now her English is quite fluent and her timidity has completely disappeared.

The biggest enlightenment I have gained from Shen Yun ticket promotion work this year is that, as long as we step out to do what needs to be done, those with predestined relationships will come to us to be saved. This is the power of Shen Yun. All we need to do is remind people not to miss out on this precious opportunity.

As we all know, the requirements for promoting Shen Yun will get higher and higher. We also need to work hard to improve ourselves, for this is a requirement if we are to have the effect of saving people. This is a predestined opportunity of a thousand years. I am deeply thankful to Master for giving his disciples such an opportunity to save even more people during this very last period of Fa Rectification and to complete our prehistoric vows!
