Some Experiences of participating in

the Global Telephone Group Rescue Platform

Greetings Master! Greetings fellow practitioners!

I’ve been participating in the Global Telephone Group Rescue Platform for one month. During this short period of time, I’ve experienced a dramatic xinxing upgrade and realised how urgent it is to save sentient beings, as well as to rescue our fellow practitioners being persecuted by the evil CCP.  Today, I would like to share some of my experiences with you.

·          Starting to participate

About one month ago, a fellow practitioner suddenly came to me and asked: “Hey Liu, the Global Telephone Group Recue Platform Australia Team has just been established. They need hosts to help with organising everything and the team leader has asked us to do it. What’s your opinion?”  To tell the truth, my first reaction was: “Why does this task have to fall on my shoulders?!”

I had heard that practitioners from Australian were far behind those from other regions in this project, but when it came to my turn, I was so reluctant to accept the job and I was going to continue complaining and whinging. But all of a sudden, three sentences entered my mind and woke me up. “To sum it up, you’re not willing to trouble yourself and you want to have it easy. Or in other words, you’re not willing to make good on what you are to do. That doesn’t work, and that is dangerous.” (from the 20th Anniversary Fa Teaching); “And sometimes it’s not necessarily that some practitioners don’t want you to get involved, it might very well be Gods who don’t want you to go there. Because they see you have attachments.” (from the Fa-Teaching Given to the Australian Practitioners video); and from Zhuan Falun: “If you do not help stop a murder or arson, what would you get involved with?”

At the time, I realised that I was wrong: “I don’t even want to bother helping stop a murder or arson, how dare I claim myself to be a genuine cultivation practitioner?” And I enlightened that this was gods’ arrangement, a mission assigned by Master. Instead of feeling honoured, just the opposite, I was so full of resentment!  And hence, I decided to accept this task.

·          A dream team

Not long ago, I watched a video clip called Classical Chinese Dance Intro and there was a male Shen Yun dancer named Gu Yun. He described Shen Yun like this: “When watching Shen Yun, you can really feel a kind of spirit from the dancers. They do things as a whole. There’s no sense of pressure within the group. Everyone gives you support and motivation.” His words left a deep impression on me and I thought that such a team could definitely encourage everyone to be fully engaged, and achieve the best group performance as a result.  Unexpectedly, Master had really arranged such a group for me! I felt so lucky and honoured.

Now, let me introduce what kind of progress my team and I have made during this past 3 to 4 weeks.

My fellow practitioner hosted the first week of the telephone group and I was just learning. I found that this job was not as easy as we predicted. First, you must take care of every practitioner on the platform: you have to be completely clear about which number is given to whom; you also have to assign new numbers to practitioners once they indicate that they have finished their phone call or have already written down feedback for you; and you cannot make things simple, like giving him or her three numbers all at once and letting him or her take their time to finish those numbers. That doesn’t work, because if I were to do that, that practitioner would not be able to come back for a long time, and if he or she encountered any problems or questions, they couldn’t get help and feedback in time. So it’s better to only give one number to each person at a time. Those are all factors that can lead to a messy and complex situation when more and more practitioners come to join the platform. In the meantime, as a host, you need to encourage those who have been assigned with tasks to start speaking once they get connected so the newcomers can learn from their experience, and others can help send righteous thoughts. For many of our practitioners who have relevant experience or the ability to organise things, this job may sound quite simple, but for me, a person used to being a “little monk”, it was really a challenge!

The second week was my turn to co-ordinate the telephone group. In order to do things well, I exchanged ideas with a Canberra practitioner beforehand. She was the one who introduced us to this project. Under her guidance and encouragement, I did a very good job. And I was so grateful for her help when she praised and encouraged me during the process. Besides, other practitioners on the platform co-operated with each other very well: they never picked the tasks and always gave feedback in time. Their attitude was very sincere: veteran practitioners who had lots of experience were willing to support and encourage new beginners. They never showed a bad attitude because they had more experience or did better than others. At that time, I suddenly felt that this was just like the dream team I mentioned before: everyone gives each other support and motivation.

It was 12am. We had finished all of the numbers we needed to ring that day. Still, no one wanted to leave, so we talked and shared our experiences. Our discussion focused on three issues. Everyone felt we had learnt a lot and we also got many useful answers. For example, in order to talk longer, we could find some interesting topics or recent events to attract their attention; if we encountered anyone who cursed us or who was deceitful and tryied to interfere, we should not give up, because every phone call has the power to deter the evil; many also realised that although we were very anxious and we wanted to rescue our fellow practitioners, we still needed to be compassionate when we spoke with those police. The longer you talk to them, the more likely you are to save those sentient beings and rescue our fellow practitioners.

I was especially inspired by a Taiwanese practitioner’s sharing. She told us that once she made calls to a man whose number was on WOIPFG’s blacklist. Every time the call was connected, she was only able to speak one sentence before he hung up. Accordingly, she simply prepared some short sentences that were easy to remember, such as: “Please remember Falun Dafa is good!”, “Please stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners at once!” etc.  She made 70 phone calls to that man and it finally worked. The last time, he asked her how she was able to persist in calling him so many times and it was the 70th call that saved this sentient being!

By hearing her story, I saw my gap: when I made ordinary RTC phone calls to ask people to quit the evil CCP, I would not bother calling them a third time if I had already called them twice and they didn’t seem willing to change their minds. Plus, I would always add in my mind: “I’ve already given you the opportunity to choose; if you still want to go to hell, I can’t help. There are so many sentient beings waiting for me. I’m can’t waste my time on sentient beings like you!” But now, I felt so embarrassed by my so-called “patience” and “compassion”.

·          Changing my attitude

In the beginning, I held the attitude that I did this because it was my responsibility and I had to finish my task. But a fellow practitioner from the Netherlands changed me. I started to love making Rescue calls and I now feel so empty if I don’t do it every day.

That practitioner had a lot of experience and it was said that he was one of practitioners who had the best attendance record. To help us in establishing the Australian group, he took the initiative to move out of the team that he was familiar with and share demonstration calls with us. When I first listened to him, I was immediately attracted by his north-eastern Chinese accent, because it sounded so familiar and warm, and he had a very good sense of humour.  Here, I will just give you an example.

Example: The wicked listener has been reported by others; his family name is Ma.

“Hello! Is that Lao Ma?” (In China, when we call a person, we usually add a Lao (meaning old) or Xiao (meaning young) in front of a person’s family name to show we know each other quite well.) “Hey, Lao Ma. You’ve been on WOIPFG’s blacklist because you are involved in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners! I am calling to save you! Do you know that a big event has just happened? Do you know that the Central Committee is going to put to trial the Blood Debt Gang (We call it Xue Zhai Pai) soon? Do you know what the Blood Debt Gang is? ”… “See, you don’t know! The Blood Debt Gang is the system of CCP Police and Law Committee members. Because they are involved in the persecution of Falun Gong, their hands are stained by people’s blood; they owe a blood debt to the Chinese people and thus we call them the Blood Debt Gang. Now what they face is immediate justice – they will go to trial! Your police station is on the bottom level of that system, so you are going to be the scapegoat on the front line! That’s why I have to tell you how to protect yourself: it is by using your power to protect Falun Gong practitioners in your area…” etc.  In this case, he aroused the person’s interest by a series of questions. The way he talks to the listener is very special too. We call people like this fellow practitioner Zilai Shu (meaning those who always seem to be able to easily make friends with strangers).  Coupled with his compassion and natural tone, it’s so easy for him to narrow the gap between the two of them. And he has demonstrated that his humorous and natural style can achieve great results in saving sentient beings. Even I, who already know the truth, want to find out what he is going to say next. I really learnt a lot from him.

I used to really hate those people who work at the departments involved in the persecution, so when I first started, the way that I talked to them was very blunt and irritable. Once the call was connected, I would immediately ask them to release Falun Gong practitioners! Although my intentions were good, the result was quite disappointing. People often hung up on me before I had even finished my first sentence. After listening to this fellow practitioner’s demonstration, I had a better understanding of Master’s Fa in Fa-Teaching Given to the Australian Practitioners video. Master said:” It’s so hard to save people. You have to really work hard at it, and you have to talk to them things at the level they can understand in order to save them. And it takes a lot of energy to save them.” Before, my understanding was: it is really hard to save people and our cultivation paths are so difficult! But now, I see a good example of how to “talk to them things at the level they can understand”. And I realised that once you had the proper attitude and used the correct approach, it didn’t have be so hard to save sentient beings!

So I simply copied everything from this practitioner’s script, including his tone and attitude, coupled with the Taiwanese practitioner’s patience mentioned above. I was able to make great progress within 3 weeks: from the beginning when I could not even get the line connected to the stage that I was cursed by every listener, to a better situation that they would listen to me without saying anything for several minutes. When it came to the third week of my participation in this project, I was able to finish all of my script and even have people quit their CCP membership on the spot. Each step of progress gives me a sense of fulfilment that is hard to describe.

The other day, I told that Canberra practitioner: “I really like our group!” And she answered: “That’s because we are fellow practitioners whose paths were arranged a very long time ago.” Her words suddenly opened up my deep memory. Having found a long-lost companion and confidant, I was so happy that I burst into tears.

Fellow practitioners, this is my cultivation experience during the last month. I’m so glad to share it with you. Thank you Master and thank you all!
